5 Ways to Look Great and Stay Sane During Holiday Travel
The seasonal holidays are stressful enough with family drama, last minute shopping, and travel nightmares. The last thing you need to be thinking about is packing the right clothes and putting together chic holiday outfits. Don’t worry, we’re here to help. We have a few tips to help you put together a convenient wardrobe for travel so you can save time, and still steal the show.
Versatile Pieces
Save space, and multiply your wardrobe by bringing a few staple pieces that can be mixed and matched to create all kinds of possible holiday fits. Skirts, pants, and jackets that can be dressed up or down for formal or casual outings are the key. The Anambra Pants are a standout on their own. Their geometric k prints are bold, but still subtle enough to go with any t-shirt, blazer, or top.
Get two holiday outfits in one, with the Chike Shirt and Pant set. The modest white shirt has a touch of flare in the stripe of pattern along the arm and collar. The pants unleash this pattern in full. They can be combined, or used individually with any skirt, pants, jacket, or sweater to give you a helping of boldness and reserve all in one package.
Layering
As the temperatures drop it's always important to pack warm, but that doesn’t have to limit your wardrobe, not if you layer correctly. When packing to stay warm, including a big parka or coat works, but it can limit your options.
Packing, sweaters, vests, and shirts that can be worn together with a polished outer layer like the Maiz Trench coat. They will keep you just as warm, and contain all kinds of possibilities.
Travel Friendly Fabrics
The selection of clothing is important, but choosing the right fabrics can make all the difference in feeling good and keeping you sane.
A lightweight option is Rayon, it doesn’t cling, and its fine threads make for excellent formalwear. Varieties like Lyocell and Tencel won’t wrinkle. Another fabric you shouldn't overlook is Merino Wool. It’s durable, wrinkle free, and it will keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
A tried and true option for comfort and breathability is cotton. All kinds of clothes are made out of cotton, so you have options if it’s your fabric of choice.
One we can’t recommend enough is the Ngbada Pant Skirt with its chic design, stand out colors, and comfortable fit. When laying out the perfect holiday fit, take a second to think about the fabrics you’re bringing. How will they feel after wearing them all day? How will you maintain them during travel? A few minutes of planning can save days of headache.
Comfortable Footwear
Comfortable Footwear I know it’s tempting to make an entrance in those pumps or that pair of boots. But close your eyes, and think about all the walking you’ll probably be doing. The name of the game is flats, an elegant pair of sneakers, or some forgiving leather boots. Wedges and sandals are also great if you get some time in the sun. Your future self will definitely thank you!
Flavoring With Accessories
After figuring out the big elements of your wardrobe, throwing in a few of the right accessories can spice up any fit.
